Pursuit Boat's New Inshore Series Draws Rave Reviews

Pursuit Boat’s New Inshore Series Draws Rave Reviews

New Models Available at Yarmouth Boat Yard Beginning March 2011

Pursuit Boat’s new inshore series debuted last week at the Miami International Boat Show with much fanfare. The new boat line features smaller boats designed to appeal to a new market of boaters with quality and affordability in mind. The new models will be available at Yarmouth Boat Yard beginning in March.

Yarmouth Boat Yard owner Steve Arnold attended the Pursuit Dealer Council meeting, prior to the Miami Boat Show where he met with Pursuit executives to discuss the benefits of the new Pursuit 18 and 20 foot Center Consoles and the new Pursuit 23 foot Dual Console. In addition Pursuit has unveiled the new 31 Sport/Tender model.

“The new Pursuit series provides every boater with the opportunity to enjoy the versatility and unmatched performance from these new models,” said Arnold. “Yamaha engines have been selected specifically for each new Pursuit model. The Pursuit design and the Yamaha engine dependability are an unbeatable combination of the best marine products available on the market.”

The Pursuit 20’ center is saltwater ready and features fishing and cruising details designed to make the boat a great introduction to the Pursuit family. The C 20 will top out at over 40 MPH and cruise comfortably around 25 MPH at 3500 RPM. Options include T-top with rod holders, trim tabs, and stereo. The base model will be priced at $38,500.

The ST 310 features a plush wrap-around lounge in the bow, luxurious forward and aft facing companion seats and yacht caliber features throughout. The ST 310 delivers on performance providing utility and comfort from this center console platform.

Pursuit is also touting the Dual Console 265, which was named 2011 Boat of the Year by Boating Magazine. Built specifically with the Yamaha V-8 outboard engine in mind, the DC 265 offers style, quality and performance.

“It’s an exciting time in the boating industry,” said Arnold. “Getting out to one of the upcoming boats shows is a great way to see these new models and the latest in marine technology.”

Something for Everyone at Upcoming Winter Boat Shows

Despite the snowy winter Yarmouth Boat Yard owner Steve Arnold wants to remind Portland area boaters that the 2011 boating season is just around the corner. There are four upcoming boats shows in the Portland and Boston areas to help kick off the season. Attending a boat show is a fun way to learn about the latest marine products and services, according to Arnold.

“We’re fortunate to have a number of first-class shows in the area,” said Arnold, a former Wall Street executive who has owned and operated the Yarmouth Boat Yard since 2004. “The boat shows are a lot of fun and can be very informative for consumers.”

Visitors can attend free clinics and seminars, enjoy a chowder cook-off and even be the skipper of your own sloop at the radio controlled sailboat regatta pool. There are four boat shows this year in Boston and the greater Portland area.

Boat shows are also a great way to see the latest models before they hit the water. For example, Pursuit is launching three new models this Spring, an 18’ and 20’ center console and a 23’ dual console.

"We are excited about the smaller boats for 2011, it allows Yarmouth Boat Yard and Pursuit entry into the smaller boat market and it provides a lower price point in the line-up,” said Arnold. “Pursuit’s goal is to take advantage of their production processes to build a product with the durability, dependability and quality synonymous with the Pursuit brand. In addition, Yarmouth Boat Yard is committed to getting more people on the water enjoying the boating lifestyle and experiencing boating.”
