Please join us in welcoming Jay Perrotta, Service Writer at Yarmouth Boat Yard. Jay grew up boating and has worked in the marine industry for most of his adult life. Having owned his own boat company for more than 12 years, Jay is an industry expert. His goal is to help maintain, diagnose, estimate and repair all of your boat needs. 

Jay enjoys offshore and freshwater fishing, sailing and spending time with his family on the water. He resides in Freeport with his wife and two daughters. Jay hopes to see you at Yarmouth Boat Yard or out on the water!

Yarmouth Boat Yard installs waste water containment system

We have recently installed a Husky waste water containment system that will allow us to continue to pressure wash boats under Maine's new Anti-fouling Paint Contaminated Wash Water General Permit. This system collects, filters and disposes of waste water containing pesticides and toxic compounds that could potentially harm marine life or contaminate drinking water. We understand the importance of preserving our marine envrionment while continuing to offer these services to our customers. This is another step in our efforts to obtain Clean Marina status through the Maine Clean Boatyards & Marina Program (MCBMP).

Yarmouth Boat Yard is a full service marina on the Casco Bay. We sell Pursuit Boats, Eastern Boats and Mako Boats. We are an authorized service center for Yamaha, Suzuki, Honda, Mercury and Evinrude engine.

2010 Fall / Winter Update

Hello, fellow boaters. I hope the start of the fall season finds you in good health and you have had a great summer of boating. This summer was by far the best weather we have had in a long time but unfortunately all good things must come to an end! Boat sales remained very strong this year and we can thank the weather for that.

The only increases we will have this year is for power washing due to the new DEP guidelines and the new rules that have us filtering all of the bottom wash. Shrink wrap will be up slightly due to the increases the manufacturer has passed on. Both rates are up only $1-2/foot. We strive to keep all of the expenses as low as possible and put a lot of pressure on our suppliers to keep the costs down.

 We anticipate another busy winter and plan on starting a dredge and bulkhead for D-dock late this fall. We expect the Army Corps of Engineers will undergo the big dredge in the Royal River within the next 2-3 years so I want to stay ahead of that with a smaller detailed dredge. In addition to the dredge, we will be installing a catch basin for all power washing of painted bottoms.
